2021 Poster and Essay Contest Healthy Forests, Healthy Communities Why Participate? Designing a poster and researching the theme can give you a voice in your community on important conservation issues. Good posters tell important stories to present to future generations.
Who can Participate? Any Hamilton County K-12th grade student What Can you Win? All Winners and sponsoring teachers receive a $25 gift card to Target and District Recognition! Poster and Essay Contest RulesCategories: grades K-2 (poster only), 3-5, 6-8, and 9-12
Theme: Healthy Forests, Healthy Communities (must be on your poster and essay) No Photographic Images Poster Size: Between 8.5” x 11” and 22” x 28”, Must be flat or 2D Essay: Between 300 and 500 words Entries should be done by students only! Each entry must have: student name, grade, school, teacher name, and teacher email Posters are evaluated for their Conservation message (50%), Visual effectiveness (30%), Originality (10%), and Universal Appeal (10%) Submissions are due by Thursday, May 6, 2021 to the HCSWCD office or by email!
